Marti: Directing a Debut Visual Rollout
The Brief & Scale
Commissioned by B4 Sounds to launch Marti as a recording artist: a two-video rollout, "Mothers and Fathers" and "Easy," built to establish her visual identity from the first release.
Directorial Scope
Authored both treatments in close collaboration with Marti and cinematographer Nabil Abdulkadir, directed a lean crew across outdoor locations and stylized studio setups, and supervised both edits.
The Constraint
A debut-artist budget. Car headlights stood in for lighting on "Mothers and Fathers," and vintage camcorder B-roll carried texture the budget could not buy.
