From Practice to Policy: Twelve Delegates, Four Venues, Three Days

Take Creative Control Delegation on Capitol Hill

The Brief & Scale

Executive-produced a three-day Washington policy convening for a twelve-person delegation of founders, investors and artists, moving them through Senate office buildings, Google's DC headquarters, Microsoft's CTA Innovation House and private cultural venues.

Production Scope

Authored the full run of show and a briefing book of one-page participant profiles. Booked and held every venue, ran ground transport and Capitol Hill security clearances, and wrote the background, talking points and one-pagers that went into the room ahead of each meeting.

The Operational Challenge

Four institutional environments with four sets of access rules, inside seventy-two hours, for a delegation that could not be late to a Senate office. Congressional scheduling moves without notice, and every venue change cascaded into transport, catering and briefing timing.

WHAT IT PRODUCED

Access, Held to Schedule

  • Rooms that are hard to book. Produced a policy lunch with Senator Edward J. Markey on funding access for entrepreneurs of color, an AI hackathon with Representative Gabe Amo and the Microsoft Copilot team, and a strategy breakfast with Google's Head of Civil Rights on creator protections and data rights.
  • Four venue types in seventy-two hours. Senate hearing rooms, a corporate public policy headquarters, a tech innovation hub and private cultural venues, each with separate clearance, load-in and AV requirements, run against one master schedule.
  • Programming that continued after hours. Extended the policy day into a family-style delegation dinner, an album listening party for Hollis Wear at Maketto, and a private tour of the Rubell Museum, so the relationships built in briefings had somewhere to go.
