Take Creative Control: Event Recap Direction
Brief
During Congressional Black Caucus Week, Take Creative Control commissioned a recap video to capture their “Creator House,” a three-day activation dedicated to education, advocacy, and community for multicultural creators. The piece needed to function both as a vibrant highlight reel for the community and a strategic deliverable for funder reporting and future partnerships.
Approach
The recap was built to reflect TCC’s ethos, sharp, creator-driven, and high-energy. Shooting solo over three days, the direction prioritized immediacy and authenticity, blending dynamic panel coverage with candid behind-the-scenes footage and live performances. Color, pacing, and sound design were used to carry the energy of the space into the edit, ensuring the final piece felt as alive as the activation itself.
